I've been uploading a mix of videos onto my youtube account recently, namely Harry Potter video games videos and Oasis videos. I plan to get a few more music videos up there and have got about 8 videos of HP to upload.
I've uploaded a full set of HP 1 for PC up there and have started the second game for PC for which a few videos are up. I'm still recording the second game but it would mean a lot if the views started going up.
As for music videos I've uploaded one Oasis video which is my current top 10. I've been making playlists for compilation discs recently of mixed artists, I'll put a video up of the best one I've done some time soon.

Oasis homepage
I finished the homepage for the Oasis site I'm making. It still uses the lightbox idea, used on all images in the left hand column. These are images of Liam, Noel, Gem, Andy and Chris - the members who were together when the band split. The central text area starts with the news title which is an h2 title. The lines are created using the <hr /> tag. The gaps inbetween the title and lines are automatic as each item causes a line break. The sub-titles for each news article are h3 titles. In one of the articles there are links in the text linking to Flick of the Finger and Second Bite of the Apple on youtube. The last line at the bottom links to Second Bite of the Apple as a video saved in my files. It opens in a new tab. Below is a screenshot of the finished homepage. Recreational Oasis Website
So a while ago I started creating a website purely for fun, with no financial or business gain intended. I've restarted this website today. The idea for creating it is to keep myself reminded of web design techniques and to have fun with it. Its an Oasis fansite so its a subject that I'm passionate enough about not to ditch out of boredom.
So far I've sorted out the initial layout, and made the images appear in a lightbox. The layout I'm using is a two column layout - pictures on the left column, navigation on the top part of the page, and content in the centre in the same column as the navigation. I was trying to do a three column layout with pictures in the first and third columns, but couldn't get the right column working how I wanted it.
Below are screenshots of the layout, and a picture in the lightbox.

Flick of the Finger and Second Bite of the Apple
So there's the new album coming out in June called BE by Beady Eye. Two songs have been released so far - the first track Flick of the Finger, and the first single - Second Bite of the Apple.
At first I thought Flick of the Finger wasn't that good. But after several plays it sounds alright. As for Second Bite of the Apple I liked it first time. The thing different with this album is theres no edits on Liam's voice. No reverbs or anything. This was said in an interview with XFM.
The album is out in June. Youtube links can be found below for the two songs.

Uni work for year 2 semester 2 completed!
All work for my course for this semester has now been completed. All apart from my presentation due on Friday between 2-3pm but I'm only up for 30 seconds, as it is a group presentation. Therefore it is much easier and less nerve wrecking than the one undertaken last Friday.
The presentation last Friday was for E-Business. Over the year I had created a website with Dave from my class for a fictional pub called the Smoking Tavern. This is a pub that offers both in-store and online takeaway services. The takeaway serves pizza, fish, sides and garlic bread. The emphasis obviously was on the takeaway services. The assignment for this subject, which detailed business and design ideas, was handed in sometime last week.
As now I am finished, I plan to use this blog much more, and maybe some other stuff. To see more frequent updates visit my twitter - @Jim_Leeder.

End of the semester
So its nearing the end of the 2nd and final semester of my second year at Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford doing IT. I handed in one assignment today and 3 more to go! Today's assignment handed in was e-business which needed a report and a CD containing the presentation due to be shown next Friday. This was so the teacher could see the website screenshots on the powerpoint as Wix (template website) does not have an export feature, which it should have. Other modules left are Web Design (finished), Design Methods and Technology (Group work - almost finished - Report and presentation needed) and Project Management (report). All is due in by the 10th May.
This weather is getting to be quite nice. A summer with sun rather than rain and thunderstorms would be just what we need after a horrible winter.
Plan to use this blog more after the 10th May. Stay tuned.
